Instructor, Ryene BuchholzBring out your inner artist by designing and creating a copper pendant. You will learn techniques for preparing the metal, drawing and coloring your design using colored pencils, and applying finishing techniques.   You will also learn how to attach your design to a backplate using rivets.  Open to all skill levels.  Bring safety glasses, a safety mask, and a Dremel if you have them.Materials & tools used: We will be using a Dremel, hammer, wooden dapping block, hole punch, chain nose pliers, paintbrush, and colored pencils.  We will also use Gamsol or Turpenoid, Krylon Workable Fixatif spray and a spray matte sealer. The instructor will provide use of the tools needed for the class.  However, if you have a Dremel and safety mask, please bring them. Participants are encouraged to have ideas for their artwork in advance of the class.  Designs should be simple and fit on a surface no larger than 1 ¼ inch.   All materials and tools will be provided.
