Handcrafted Sterling Silver Jewelry

Instructor, Sue MaloneyIn this studio class we will learn about silver and how to create jewelry using sterling silver wire. We will make two pieces of jewelry. All students will create a linked bracelet and then choose to make earrings, a pendant, necklace, cuff bracelet, adjustable ring, or ear cuff. Students will design and complete their silver jewelry with finishing techniques and polishing. All work will be done with hand tools and no soldering, so you can continue to create beautiful jewelry on your own. This class is open to beginners and all skill levels. If you have taken this class previously you can come and do more advanced silversmithing techniques. Each student will need to bring jeweler’s round nose pliers, jeweler’s chain-nose pliers, and side cutters. All available at Michael’s, Walmart and Amazon for $6-12/set. You also may bring any beads that are stone, glass, sterling silver, or pearls to embellish your jewelry. The instructor will have some available for use.
