Pin Weaving
Instructor, Sue MaloneyIn this class, students will learn about the basics of weaving. A piece of foam core will be provided for a loom. You will make a wall hanging, necklace, pin, or bookmark, and the instructor will teach you different weaving techniques, including plain weave, twill, lace, wrapping, and raised weaving. When completed, you will learn how to take your weaving off of the pin loom and finish the ends. You are encouraged to bring any threads or found items, such as beads, thin rope, cording, or a small stick or something similar that you would like to add to your weaving. Some found items, beads, and wire will be available. Each student should bring a pair of scissors. This class is open to beginners and all skill levels.
