Beginner Knitting

Instructor, Melissa Lamont GordonStudents will learn basic knitting techniques:  cast on, knit, purl and simple increase and decrease stitches to create an 8x8-inch square washcloth or scrubby.   Students will purchase their own supplies and have a choice of color and texture of yarn, from a suggested list of vendors.  The pattern used in class can be easily adapted into a shawl or blanket as student skill develops.  A materials list will be provided.Please keep in mind before you purchase materials that the class may not yet be confirmed.Materials List:Size 9 straight or circular knitting needlesScissorsStitch marker1 skein worsted weight cotton yarn and/or 1 skein worsted weight cotton scrubby yarn
