Intro to Drawing: The Eye and Hand in Conversation

Instructor, Gabrielle PatriceThis class is an introduction to drawing with a focus on how the eye and hand communicate.  You will learn various methods for how to approach drawing, including spatial relationships, abstraction, contour drawings, mark making, negative/positive space, composition, and tonal values, while working with various grayscale media. Enhance your creativity and develop the confidence to approach drawing on your own.  Students should wear clothes they don't mind getting dirty, as we will be using charcoal and various media that may be messy.  Open to all skill levels.  All materials are provided.
